Discover the New Zealand's West Coast in comfort from our modern 1 or 2 bedroom self-catering
house near the historic settlement of Charleston, just 20 minutes from Westport. The Waves Studio
offers plenty of privacy from its idyllic location, on a sunny north-facing terrace, enveloped in
beautiful native bush and overlooking Nine Mile Beach. We are ideally placed for exploring the
wonderful West Coast region from Karamea to Hokitika.
Well-appointed comfort
The Waves Studio has high quality accommodation for up to four adults and all the comforts of
home, including dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, LCD television, DVD player, sound system,
telephone, WIFI, log wood burner (firewood supplied), a fully appointed separate laundry, a two person spa bath in the main en suite bathroom and garage with drying
facilities.
Tailor your Holiday
Listen to the calming sounds of the ocean and the songs of the tui and kereru/New Zealand pigeon
as you dine alfresco on the sheltered deck areas. Explore the natural wonders of the area, from the
limestone caves in the rugged Paparoa Mountains to the famous Pancake Rocks at nearby
Punakaiki.
Take in the elemental beauty of a coastal ramble or bush walk. Watch the local surfers and
fishermen take on nature at Nine Mile Beach and Hampton’s Fishing Rock. Visit the native fur seal
colony at Tauranga Bay where you can watch them swimming, dozing in the sun or feeding their young. There are plenty of interesting walks nearby but how much or how little you do is up to you.
